There are three main markets for Texas health insurance:

Let's look at each.

Individual and Family

There are three main markets for individuals and families. They're all ACA or obamacare! Same benefits and networks. We can get subsides on-exchange so 99% of our enrollment goes that way.

Roughly 50% of people who self-enroll on-exchange make mistakes that cost them dearly with subsidies.

For that reason, we have a simplified Texas exchange application here:

Otherwise, we can actually quote and apply for on or off-exchange with this application here:

compare texas exchange plans with full tax credit

You can toggle on or off exchange (see difference between Texas on and off exchange) and even enter your doctors right into the quote tool.

Applying is easy from there by Adding to Cart and enrolling!

Short term application is available here:

quote texas short term health plans united health

Same process with UnitedHealth which is dominant short term carrier in Texas. See our guide to Short Term health insurance.

Reach out to us with any questions especially around the income estimate which drives subsides!

Medicare Texas Applications

There are three different Texas markets here with different applications!

The simplified Medicare Supplement application:

Both Texas Advantage and Part D have online applications here:

Most Advantage plans include Part D. You'll see a tab for "MAPD". That's a combo Medicare Advantage (the "MA") and Part D (that's the "PD").

The last tab is for Part D plans alone (PDP or Prescription Drug Plan) which is usually needed if you have a Medicare Supplement.

You can quote and apply for either there.

Make sure to enter your doctors/hospitals, medications/dosages, and pharmacy.

Sort by "Total Estimated Cost" so the quote will take into account your drug costs!

This is for Advantage and/or Part D plans!

Reach out with any questions. There's zero cost for our assistance.

Small Business Texas Applications

The enrollment process for Texas small businesses is a little more involved but we'll hand-walk you through the entire process.

Let us know what carrier you are interested in and we'll put together the full enrollment kit for the company and employees.

You can request your small business quote or enrollment kit here:

Again, small business coverage has more steps but we'll definitely help you navigate the process in the shortest time possible.
